This tour to Huchuy Qosqo begins with pick-up from your hotel at 6 a.m. and we will take you to the Inca site called Puca Pucara (3,700 meters). It is only 20 minutes from the city of Cusco. We will start the hike uphill for an hour and a half until we reach the first Abra (4,100 meters), from there we will have spectacular views of two valleys and the city of Cusco with impressive mountains that surround it. Your professional guide will give you an introduction to the history of the Incas. From El Abra we will continue the adventure through the mountains until we reach our lunch spot which will be Queullacocha.

The landscape is quite arid because the whole area is a high puna between the mountains, and it is covered with hard Andean grass, called Ichu. It is possible to see a great variety of birds, such as Andean geese, lapwing, partridges, among others.

After our lunch, we will continue to Laguna Qoricocha (Golden Lake) where we can appreciate the beauty of this wonderful lagoon, a place that will be our camp.
